First Shift Forklift Operator

The Burlington plant is a one-stop shop for custom and specialty print work. Burlington employees can do it all – from books to brochures, catalogs to calendars, and direct mail to directories. It has 10 Color Sheetfed capabilities including UV Inks and Specialty Finishes, Die Cutting, Embossing, Folding, and Gluing all in-house.

Available Work Schedule that fit your lifestyle and needs:
- 1st shift opportunity available starting at 6 a.m. and working until 3 p.m., Monday-Friday. Weekend work and overtime when needed.
What does a Material Handler do?
- Move product/skids with a hand jack, motorized Raymond (Big Joe) lift, or Forklift (training provided).
- Servicing of press and finishing machines to move product throughout the plant.
- Maintain accurate inventory of products with the use of an onboard PC and RF bar coding system.
- Loading and unloading of finished products and materials from semi-trailers and auto-wrapper using a propane forklift.
- Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
- Effectively communicate with team members.
- Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have or be able to do the following:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Strong computer skills preferred.
- Prior forklift experience is highly preferred, but not required.
- Factory, Manufacturing, or other work experience where mechanical or handwork was necessary is preferred, such as laborer, machinist, assembly, bindery, mechanic, warehouse, etc.
- Printing, Finishing (Bindery), or Warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems, multi-task and prioritize job needs.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow both written and verbal instructions. Good math skills.
- The position requires the ability to lift 10-20 pounds continuously, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, stand for long hours, use hands and wrists continuously in controlled movement, receive and follow instructions, and use vision to identify defects.
- Ability to be a team player in a fast-paced, detail-orientated production environment.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
