Software Engineer I

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

We are looking for a Software Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining software applications using Python (PY), SQL, and React. Additionally, experience with Azure DevOps, Docker, and Linux is highly valued, along with the ability to write automation scripts in Bash. Knowledge of PHP and Java is considered a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain scalable software applications using React, Python, and SQL.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to design and implement new features and enhancements.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure the quality of your work and that of the team.
  • Support the CI/CD process using Azure DevOps, ensuring smooth deployment and delivery of code.
  • Automate processes using Bash scripting in a Linux environment.
  • Use Docker to manage containerized applications.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, debugging, and improving software performance.
  • Document technical designs, implementation details, and operational procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Python for backend development.
  • Strong experience with SQL for database management and query optimization.
  • Experience with React for frontend development.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and source control.
  • Experience with Docker for containerized development and deployment.
  • Ability to write and debug Bash scripts in a Linux environment.
  • Experience with Linux systems for software deployment and operations.
  • PHP and Java experience are nice to have.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
