QuadMed is seeking a Full Time Patient Service Rep to join the team! Must be available to work during call center hours 6am - 6pm.  

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

The Patient Services Representative handles inbound calls to support various clinic operations. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, making outbound calls to inform and educate eligible patients about QuadMed services, and assisting with other patient-related initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Professionally answers incoming patient and clinic calls, addressing inquiries and requests, utilizing EMR and other resources to resolve needs effectively.
  • Maintains positive relationships with patients and clinic staff; collaborates with internal teams to handle requests and questions in line with SOPs.
  • Identifies and escalates complex or priority issues, ensuring they are addressed promptly and with care.
  • Conducts follow-up calls as needed and completes call logs and documentation accurately and on time.
  • Responds to customer inquiries via phone and written communication regarding clinic benefits, prescription refills, eligibility, and website assistance.
  • Routes mainline telephone calls appropriately.
  • Performs additional duties and projects as assigned. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:  

  • High School diploma or GED.

Experience:  

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in an automated call center environment preferred.

None

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:  

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and convey information effectively.
  • Professional demeanor with a focus on collaborative teamwork and cross-functional partnerships.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems effectively, using sound judgment aligned with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and email communication.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive in identifying and addressing the needs and expectations of internal and external clients.
  • Typing speed of 45–50 words per minute with accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work successfully with diverse populations and demonstrated dedication to promote and enhance diversity and inclusion.
